A Word About Us

Diana Bermudez is a dynamic leader in community outreach, family engagement, and youth mentoring, with over two decades of experience bridging schools, families, and communities. As the founder of The Engagement Ed Corp, Diana has dedicated her career to closing opportunity gaps and helping young people—especially those in underserved communities—build meaningful, purpose-driven futures.

Diana established The Engagement Ed Corp in 2018 with a clear mission: to equip students and families with the tools, skills, and support they need to thrive beyond high school. Through innovative mentoring programs for youth and transformative workshops for parents, her organization has become a trusted partner to schools and municipalities across New Jersey.

Before launching her company, Diana served as the Parent Outreach Coordinator for Hackensack Public Schools from 2010 to 2024. In this role, she consistently increased parent participation, launched the Comet Parent Academy—offering classes in ESL, digital literacy, health, and wellness—and developed My Future My Plan, a mentoring initiative that supported at-risk students with postsecondary planning. She also cultivated strategic partnerships with higher education institutions, nonprofits, and local agencies to ensure holistic support for families.

Earlier in her career, Diana worked as a Community Development Loan Officer and AVP at TD Bank, where she led over 3,000 financial literacy sessions, supported community grantmaking, and partnered with municipalities to expand homeownership opportunities for low- to moderate-income families.

Diana holds a Master of Administrative Science and multiple certifications from Fairleigh Dickinson University in nonprofit development, global leadership, and administration. She is also an active member of several advisory boards and committees focused on youth, education, public health, and civic engagement.

Fluent in Spanish and committed to equity, Diana continues to serve as a mentor, educator, and changemaker. Her unique blend of public school experience, nonprofit leadership, and financial education makes her an invaluable partner to school administrators seeking to strengthen student outcomes and family engagement through high-impact programming.
